Dr Hill visits Year 3
Today, Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed learning about The Stone Age. The children enjoyed exploring artefacts and learnt lots of new facts.
Jackson said ‘I really enjoyed trying on the medicine mask’.
Lilly said ‘ I had fun because I got to see a necklace which was from 500 BC’
Mason said ‘ I liked touching the bone from the giant elk’.
Lots of Year 3 children would now like to become archaeologists when they are older.
Year 3 get a visit from an Archaeologist to learn about The Stone Age
Today, Year 3 met a special visitor called Dr. John Hill who taught the children lots of interesting facts about The Stone Age.
The children learnt about Liverpool in The Stone Age, they saw a woolly mammoth’s tooth and a Stone Age axe which was over 7,000 years old. The children thoroughly enjoyed the session and learnt lots of new facts.

Remembrance Day activities
We marked Remembrance day in school by observing a 2 minutes silence at 11 am on Wednesday the 11th November to show our respect to those who had fought in the great wars. The children were reminded why we mark Remembrance Day every year and various activities took place throughout the school.
