Remembrance Day
For Remembrance Day, the children listened to a Year 3 assembly. We also invited some members of the British Legion in to talk to the KS2 children.

Year 3 enjoyed meeting Dr. John Hill and learning about The Stone Age.
During the summer term we hired an artist (Andi Taylor) to create a unique history canvas for our school. The canvas celebrates the lives of significant peoples from our area and includes: Lord Thomas Stanley (1st Earl of Derby), Hannah Lightbody, William Gladstone, William Rathbone, Bessie Braddock, Dame Rose Helibron and The Beatles. During the year, each class will research one of the significant individuals and we will also have a History Themed Day to celebrate their achievements.
We hired an artist Andi to help us create a History timeline mural.
