I love it when you’ve taught something in class that day and a child comes in the next day with something they’ve done at home.
In Yoga, the children got the opportunity to plan and guide the class through their very own flow.
We are making excellent progress in our trumpet lessons with Mr Nicholas
Joy from St John’s Ambulance came into school to teach the children about first aid.
They learned the steps to follow if someone collapses, how to stay safe, call for help and put someone into the recovery position. As well as, how to recognise and dress a head injury or a small wound. Our children absolutely loved every moment and learnt lots essential life skills too.
During our States of Matter topic, we investigated the melting point of chocolate. We created a fair test to measure the most efficient temperature to melt chocolate and why? We even got to eat the left over chocolate at the end…yummy!
We love experimenting in Year 4. Children had to predict which fizzy drink contained the most gas, remove the gas and the find the weight of each one? But where their predictions correct?
Year 4 enjoyed designing, making and evaluating a pop up Christmas card during DT.
