Year 1 have really enjoyed our History topic on the Great Fire of London. They particularly enjoyed finding the answers to certain questions they had through reading our topic books from the library service.

We launched our Computing topic today with a focus on Minibeasts. We searched the classroom for minibeasts so we can create a database and a graph of our results.
We invited parents from Year 1 and 2 this morning to read with their children which launched our World Book Week perfectly!

Children have been learning a new song this Spring term- Round and Round. They love performing songs they’ve learnt.
Children rounded off their Science learning with a carousel of plant activities- they even labelled real life plants!
For Number Day this year we received the challenge from Mike Askew and his mathematical puppet Gaus
For Number Day this year we received the challenge from Mike Askew and his mathematical puppet Gaus (who only knew the number 10) to write as many different number sentences as we could that make 10. The winner was Tadie with 20!

Year 1 were lucky enough to visit St Agnes and St Aidan Church today to learn about the parts of the church and the special people who work there. We thank Christine for having us and guiding us around today and the lovely doughnuts and drink at the end.
