In Science Year 6 explored how light travels. We created our own periscopes to see above something or around something using mirrors to reflect light.
Some members of Year 6 were rewarded with a cup of tea with Miss Estlin for their hard work in class and for being outstanding role models for others. They enjoyed their Friday treat.
Knowsley’s Road Safety Team visited Year 6 today for a road safety lesson. The children went out and used their observations to see how drivers were easily distracted. They also used the speed guns to check the speed of passing vehicles.
Y6 have been making a night light in DT. They have used their Science knowledge to make a complete circuit using wires, crocodile clips, a cell and a switch.
As part of our D&T topic on Seasonality, year 6 tasted various cooked and uncooked vegetables.
Father Anton came in on Ash Wednesday to celebrate the start of Lent and took part in our collective worship administering ashes to staff and children.
Fun Food Chef visited our school for a Spanish-themed interactive cooking session. Year 6 enjoyed making Spanish tapas food.
