Year 3 and 4 enjoyed meeting Deacon Mike this morning

We are using the CAFOD interactive calendar each day throughout Advent

‘We look at a different scripture each day and think about how that applies to our life today.  We say the prayer together.’

We joined in the National CAFOD Assembly

We joined in the National CAFOD Assembly and made pledges under the heading of, ‘How will you help others and share the light of Jesus this Christmas.

Each class has filled a backpack for Mary’s. We also funded for 34 children in poorer countries to have a hot meal every day of the year.

Year 6 have been exploring Judaism.

Year 6 have been exploring Judaism.  We have been learning about Rosh Hashanah and how food is very important during this time.  We tried slices of apple dipped in honey – they were delicious.

 

Year 6 sold hot chocolate to raise money for Mary’s Meals, raising over £90!

Year 5 Collective Worship

Our Nursery collective worship.

We use this time to listen, respond and reflect. It’s such a special time together.

For Remembrance Day the Nursery children used the dough to make beautiful poppies.

We wear the poppies to remember the soldiers who keep us safe.

 

During our RE topic of Myself, the Nursery children were getting to know each other’s names by rolling a ball to each other.
