The number 4. The Nursery children have been learning about the number 4 by using frogs. The frogs kept jumping off the log! How many frogs are on the log? How many frogs are in the pong? How many frogs do we have altogether?
The composition of 5. The Nursery children have been using the Numicon to explore the composition of the numeral 5.
For Number Day this year we received the challenge from Mike Askew and his mathematical puppet Gaus (who only knew the number 10) to write as many different number sentences as we could that make 10. The winner was Tadie with 20!
We enjoyed dressing up, raising money for the NSPCC and some fun math lessons. What a great day!
We love Numbots in Year 1. Make sure you do it at home as well to revise our current Maths topic. Children receive a certificate at the end of the week if they have been on it the most.
