Our most recent inspection has confirmed that St Aidan’s continues to be a good school. The report celebrates the many things that we do well and makes reference to the positive climate and high levels of expectation.
We like to describe St Aidan’s as a family and the children are at the centre of that. We strive to serve them in every way that we can to enable them to move on to the next stage of their education as young people with high aspirations for themselves but also care and concern for others around them.
We appreciate the support that parents and governors give us in this partnership and will enjoy the success that this brings.
Above all else, it is the children of St Aidan’s that remain our focus and we will continue to work hard as a community to make sure that we are giving of our best to realise our Mission Statement – ‘ Learning and growing together inspired by the love of Jesus’.
Ofsted visited in September 2016. We are delighted to report that they agreed with us and believe St Aidan’s to be a GOOD school.
One of the key features of the report is the ‘family feel’ to the school. Children, staff and parents all value the school, feel safe and cared for. Our School Values shine through in all we do, in class where children work well together, on the yard were children play together, young and old in harmony, in discussion where staff, children and parents clearly demonstrated how much they believe the school to be a good, safe and successful place to learn and develop.
Teaching is good and children are enthusiastic learners. Staff have good subject knowledge and assess pupils accurately so that they achieve well.
Overall we are pleased with the outcome. Now onto OUTSTANDING!!!
