About Me I am a new Governor at St Aidan’s but the school is not new to me.  I was a pupil and have happy memories of my time at the school.  I remember the commitment and dedication of the teaching and support staff to create a safe and secure environment in which to learn and have fun.  I see my role as a Foundation Governor as an opportunity to give back to the school.  I have maintained my links with St Aidan’s Parish and regularly attend mass at St Aidan’s.  I like hill walking but don’t get as much time as I would like to do it.  I enjoy listening to all kinds of music and reading thrillers and mysteries.

About Me I am a teacher at the school and really love working here. I enjoy seeing children develop and becoming a better version of themselves; I get the most enjoyment from seeing the children in my class being proud of themselves and what they have learnt. I often tell them that the most important thing is to be happy and be willing to learn. Outside of school I am an avid football fan and attend every home game of my favourite football club. I enjoy running and I am currently training for a 10k run. My favourite thing to do is travel and explore new places. This is made better when I am accompanied by my wife and my dog, whom I enjoy walking every day.

About Me I am a Dad of 2 wonderful kids who both attend St Aidan’s. I have experience as a Governor from a previous term I served at St Aidan’s which I thoroughly enjoyed and only gave up due to a new job which took me away from home a lot.

I currently work for an MP as a Senior Caseworker, helping people to solve issues relating social security, housing and a range of other issues. Its extremely challenging but also highly rewarding. Before this, I was a Civil Servant for 18 years, during which I was a senior elected representative for PCS union.

I hope to be able to use my experience to contribute positively to the development of the school in my role as a Parent Governor, providing challenge at the right times but mostly to support the school and it’s amazing staff to be the best place possible for our kids to learn and grow.
