Geography

“I love investigating people and places. Our world is just so big and beautiful!”
Year 4 pupil

At St. Aidan’s our vision is to provide a strong high quality geography curriculum allowing children to learn and grow together as geographers to explore, appreciate and understand the world around us. Our curriculum is implemented through immersive teaching with opportunities to learn through hands on experiences particularly through fieldwork and practical activities alongside the support of Kapow planning. The impact of the geography curriculum is that our children will achieve a strong balanced skill set of knowledge and understanding of the world in which they live in.

If a pupil has difficulty with Geography, adaptations, adjustments and interventions can support knowledge and understanding. Any interventions that are necessary will be discussed with parents/carers and Individual targets sheets competed and reviewed if necessary.
