Exploring concrete resources to help us use written methods of division

Number One
We have been learning all about the concept of number one and recognising number one. We looked at one spot, one counter and one counter on a five frame. Number One is all alone, number one is one no matter where he is or what he is, he is always number one.
As part of our learning we played the magic cup game. We hid one pom-pom under one of two cups, we moved them around on the table and then we asked our friends to guess where the pom-pom was. They had to shout “One!” Every time they guessed and pointed.
Journey in Love
Year 6 have been exploring what stable and caring relationships look like and they key qualities and gifts that contribute to a stable, caring, happy and loving family.
We have been writing an Anne Frank Bravery Award speech in English

We have turned our Home Corner into a restaurant.

We have been listened to music by Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie, Wonder, The Supremes and Lionel Richie!
We have also been to visit our school library to listen to some amazing stories
