Year 1 visit Huyton Library
Year 1 had a FANTASTIC visit to Huyton Library. After hearing a story the children were free to explore and select a book of their choice. Many enjoyed reading early “touch and feel” books and all were fascinated with the number of books available.
The staff gave each child forms to apply for a library membership card and many returned them to school over the next few days. All have been handed into the library in preparation for their next visit.
Some parents took their children after school in that week and joined there and then! One Year 1 child burst into the classroom the next morning and proudly told every adult nearby with a huge grin on her face,
“I joined the library last night and got three books”.
Later in the week more parents took their children and they too were eager to share their news the next day. A huge thank you to all parents!
