Spooky Reading Week

Once again we have our SPOOKY READING WEEK! This year we will be celebrating all scary stories from MONDAY 22ND OCTOBER – FRIDAY 25TH OCTOBER.

Our librarians and Reading Ambassadors will be in the library eager to share some spine-chilling stories and disgusting sweet treats.

On the Friday all classes will be invited to go into the library with their teachers for an additional spooky read. Do not worry if you find a story you like you can take it with you.

Friday lunch time children can pop in to be given a mini spooky make-over by our witches!

BE THERE IF YOU DARE!!!

The children had an amazing time.  During the week at lunchtimes our Year 6 librarians held reading sessions in the library, for any child wishing to hear a spooky story or complete a spooky activity.

The climax of the week took place on the Friday. Throughout the day every class was invited to the library to have a spooky makeover by our librarians and some friends. Children were even shown a list of faces available and invited to choose the one they wanted. Once they had their face painted they then listened to a spooky story. All joined in and had a tremendous time and a HUGE thank you to our year 6 who gave a warm welcome to every child and coaxed all to have a go. They were brilliant and a pleasure to work with. THANK YOU GIRLS!
