Celebration Assembly

Every Friday we have a Celebration Assembly to help celebrate the pupil’s achievements throughout the week.

Certificates are awarded to pupils from each class to recognise an outstanding achievement that week

Our Head Boy and Head Girl also award a certificate to a pupil they have spotted during the week who has been keeping our Golden Values

Miss Kenneway and Mrs French also award special certificates to pupils. If you win a Head Teacher or Deputy Headteacher Certificate you go on a trip at the end of the term – it is brilliant!

We also celebrate good attendance each week in a number of ways;

The class with the best attendance are allowed to sit on the benches the following week.

Medals are awarded to a pupil from each class who is the ATTENDANCE HERO that week

Pupils who have been in school ALL week and who have also been ON TIME ALL week put their name in the Attendance Raffle and one lucky person from each class is able to visit the Box of Dreams and choose a prize

Mrs French visits the Attendance Wizard (when she receives an invitation) and collects new prizes.

This term the Wizard has promised to visit school but only if our school attendance is fantastic. We are going to write to the Wizard and ask him to join us – we really want to meet him!

Pupils who have worked hard or who have made a huge effort with their work have their name put in our Magic Books and they are rewarded – it is very special to have you name in the books

We also sing Happy Birthday to anyone who has had a birthday, which is great fun

We hear about the children who have been representing school in sport or music or any special events and we also hear about children who do activitiies outside of school like dancing or lifesaving

Finally we see which House Team has gathered the most DOJO points

There is lots of cheering and clapping at Our Celebration Assembly – we have a lot to celebrate here at St Aidan’s
