Welcome to art and craft club we meet every Tuesday between 3.15 and 4.15. Since September we have enjoyed making Diva lamps, tie dye mats and fabric lamps to celebrate Divali. We have also made salt dough baubles and other decorations for Christmas.
Currently, we are making 3D picture frames for your special memory photograph.
Art Club continues to run as a weekly lunchtime club. We meet 12.30-1.00 every Tuesday in the Community room.
This term we have made models of dinosaurs using paper and mod-roc. The children have challenged themselves to produce creatures on a large scale and worked hard to get their models to be free standing!
Our next project for those wishing to join next term will involve working collaberatively to produce banners for our Year 4 children currently preparing to make their sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation, which will be diplayed in the hall.
A big thank you to all those who attended Art club last year
2015 – 2016
We have been meeting on Thursday until 4.15pm each week. So far this year, we have created mini clay pumpkins which hold tealights – a great Halloween craft! We have worked with painted and used aboriginal designs to influence these designs. Completed simple weave with card and paper to create mats and some children even came with other fun uses for them. Most recently, we have been getting outside and with the influence of Andy Goldsworthy, an artist who uses natural resources, we have been designing our own interpretations using leaves, petals, stones and bark.
